The Identify Window
is defined by a connection to a specific account in an Oracle database. Using the session window, the user may retrieve statements from the SQL Area of the database based on many different combinations of criteria. Each statement is explained and the user may scroll through the various statements and see the corresponding Explain Plan. Multiple sessions can be opened within Power Explain.

The Tune Window
can be used to modify a specific statement and have it instantly re-explained. Once the statement is constructed as the user desires, it may be copied into another application, development tool or editor, very easily. This window provides a tree structure of the objects in the database accessible by the current session. This is very useful for examining the various columns or indexes of a specific table without having to switch to another application.
